I know that this video is 7 years old. I've owned my used truck for 18 months and was Googling a replacement switch when I found this video as the first result. Like everyone else in the comments, I had no idea that the upper half of the dome light control was a push button.

LOL, in my 2000 i was used to pushing in the long button to turn off the dome, couldn't get the 2013 to work. I was getting online to order a new switch for my 2013 and watched your video first, didn't even know there was a switch on top! saved me money and time. Thanks for taking the time to record video!!

Well thank you sir…. I had the same problem… I knew about the long protruding switch, but did not notice the flush mount off/on switch…. I also asked a mechanic friend who did not know what to do…. We were on the verge of looking for a bad fuse or wiring harness problem….As soon as we seen what you did, the wife and I ran out to the truck as fast as we could to do what you showed…. FINALLY! Thanks so much. The user manual is really unclear on this. I was sitting in my '09 for ages trying to figure it out. The manual made it sound like it was the small round switch in the centre that needed to be "out"., but obviously that didn't work. Much appreciated!
