Dave you're an absolute saint for not absolutely shredding Boeing when that dude was talking...

"That's what this industry is, we delay!" If only there was that attitude with the Max 8... F**kin a****es

The Venus mission will show Rocket (RKLB) Lab’s future interest and developing capability.

Fun face: Peter Beck was given the title of adjunct professor of aerospace engineering by the University of Auckland back in 2019.

This is good stuff, Dave. Liked and commented for the Almighty Algo. Thanks again man

(But why they chose this blue background on stage 😆 haha)

Beck mentioned that currently there is only one customer that is already well served by two suppliers. Rocket Lab will only get into human space flights once there several customers & market demand makes sense.

Doing human space flight is such a large drain on capital and it’s revenue stream is even lumpier & uncertain. For Rocket Lab this is not their priority in the near future and I doubt they will be flying any humans to space before 2030. Cargo resupply mission is another story though, and knowing Beck this would be a prerequisite for them before flying any humans.

btw, hearing Boeing’s CEO gives me even more confidence in Rocket Lab & other innovative new space companies slowly eating their pie in the decade ahead.

I think RL is just making sure that they're designing Neutron to possibly have the capabilities to launch humans in order to continue to adapt to the needs of the industry. I think primarily it's going to be used for large constellation deployment, but who knows what the future will bring and where the money will be - Maybe transportation to space stations becomes a very lucrative venture and they don't want to be behind the eight ball by needing to design a whole other spacecraft/launch vehicle. I'm very excited to see what RL is doing in 10 years. Boeing asking for more government spending isn't surprising considering the enormous amount of money taxpayers spent on something that still hasn't worked. I wish Ol' Dave had to comment on space sustainability...

RKLB Investor Day is tomorrow! Finally!

And no need for them to invite Boeing to this next year imho. What this Boeing guy is saying is kinda a joke if you ask me. Or maybe its just SLS that's the joke, def a huge money pit

I think the Russian module is necessary for manoeuvring the ISS but the ISS can remain in orbit for a some years after the Russians leave. It would presumably be okay for SpaceX to dock a starship to the ISS and get that to manoeuvre the ISS into its correct orbit.

Dave, the ISS is leaving but they are planning to build a space station around the moon. Plus they want to build a base on the moon.
