I believe that small cable is for an RGB header integration to the GPU. Rather then plugging into the MOBO.

hi, i do own that very same card and i'd be curious if you would be able to run a short benchmark with project cars 2 (on 1 of those tracks, azur coast circuit a, long beach, spa, or sonoma, on sunny weather graphics everything on but msaa on medium and a 200% supersampling ) and a reverb g2 in order to see if your ryzen5900x would make any difference with my i78700K 4.3 ghz ?

According to many people in forums. There's really no overlooking abilities this gen. Seems that nvidia squeezed just about every drop. You may have gotten like 3 frames in that zotac oc
