hey thanks don't know about others but mine worked perfectly .I wanted to know what to do next after you get a port open through the ways you told i.e. after trying the above ways do we have to perform any specific commands or carry on as usual

-sM will show close port as open | filtered and when firewall is off then open or close port will be shown as close

Doesn't work. If I scan ports that I know *nothing* is listening on, the results still say that it's open and filtered.

Same thing happens if I scan a port that I *know* a service is listening on, but with iptables firewalling the system.

In short, the information that nmap is responding with is the same, whether the firewalled port is listening, or not.

All the commands returned same results don't understand when u say the other one is open and the rest commands closed
