The only people making a big deal out of it are people who want the manager out. It’s a friendly ffs. The whole point of friendlies is to work on fitness and try out stuff from the training ground; it’s not supposed to be about “winning”

I was in the stadium surrounded by Liverpool fans lmao. Thought Amass and Collyer were good, we just couldn't finish in the final third.

Agree 100%. Yoro and Højlund are injured. Zirkzee, Garnacho, Bruno, Mainoo, Dalot, Shaw and Martinez are in Manchester. And we will likely also get more players in before the seasons starts.
We looked decent in this game, with most of our first eleven out.

Can’t wait to hear how this means so much from the same Liverpool fans that said the 4 nil win by United in Thailand meant nothing.

Dogshit result, but we didn't play that bad, 18 shots and 8 on target against 9 shots and 5 on target... Our finishing needs to be screwed on tight by Ruud. Can't finish dinner.

It's nice to hear some sense about the game after Scotty and Ronaldo were talking on the watch along like United showed nothing positive.
Liverpool were lucky that United weren't taking they're chances. They did well to capitalise on a couple of poor mistakes in the first half and the third goal would have been pulled back for Salah offside in the build up.
There’s definitely work, but far from a disastrous performance from United.

I’m not gonna panic, theirs a positive energy n it’s pre season, All the players involved in International duty have been given time to recover, they’re human, international duty was their pre season 🤣🤣, youngsters have been given minutes and that’s priceless for them, don’t expect miracles this season but trust the process.

Ste, the fan base you spoke of aren't the base. they are mix of trolls and a group of not actual fans that are a modern day internet fan - willing to give up their support for the club at the drop of a hat. I treat this whole group as trolls.

The real fans can be fairly easy to spot

Liverpool had no Diaz, Nunez, VVD, Allisson, Trent, Gakpo, Mac Allister, Robertson and Szobozlai to put it in perspective.

no panic…but biggest take away for me…casemiro and erickson are done. game has passed them by. make a mistake w a kid, they can learn; make a mistake w an old man, it’s only gonna get worse.

Stretford Paddock titled the video Defensive Crisis before changing it to Worrying Result... All feeds into it

I took positives, Rashford looks like he is somewhat back to where he was a couple of seasons ago. We seemed to have something of a shape and an identity. I don't think you can get worried right now. Our first team with one or two more to come in are capable of more than we showed in a friendly, and let's not get twisted it was a friendly.

We already know most of those players aren't good enough. Two weeks to get some real deals done in and out.

For at least five years, the problem with Utd fans is thinking they deserve to win before the game is played.

How’s the stress free transfer window coming on?

Personally I see a lot of positive double the shots more on target I can’t remember the last time I’d seen that. The bin dippers took there chances and that was it I’d be more worried if I was a Liverpool fan

not worried in the slightest by the result. We looked positive. Collyer and Amass looked comfortable and not afraid of players like Salah. Some good patterns of play. Mount looked good. Amad looked good. Some good stuff from Rashford and Sancho and AWB. Some good chances with some good saves by their keeper. That said, it does worry me a bit that Antony still refuses to give an F. Seems like Ten Haag is done though and won't favor him going forward.

What does worry me a bit is the unknowns - as Ste mentioned, we know very little of the progress of our majority of our starters. That and the rest of the transfers. And where was Maguire today?

Thank you for being the voice of reason. Yes, there’s reasons to be concerned that this season can be abysmal, or at least difficult, however panicking and starting the Ten Hag out would be foolish. Ten years of mismanagement takes longer than a couple transfer windows to fix. The squad is exactly like the Stadium, which will require years to repair/replace

First response that I’ve seen that I agree with. This is a learning curve for some of our players - hopefully players that will end up playing for uniteds first team eventually … we need new signings and time to gell - that’s it! We can have a good season if we do things in the transfer window

People need to wake up. How on earth can we be optimistic for next season? It will be the exact same as last year because the manager is still there. We won’t progress under Ten Haag! Same patterns will appear next season. We will concede 15+ in most games because we don’t have a proper spine. Time to panic? It was time to panic the minute Ineos decided to keep Ten Haag in because the rot will continue with this team into next season instead of starting fresh.
