Built-in mini dry bar DIY

Hi, in this video, I am going to show how I built a mini dry bar with a mini fridge for my loft area. The builder wanted to charge $3900 for this option and I was like no thanks, I can build it myself. It was very simple. I am by no means a builder or a carpenter. We basically built this bar for less than $600. And really to make it look built-in, I bought some cabinet trim pieces to lessen the surrounding gaps. To finish the area, I bought some hanging tube vases from Amazon to put some pothos in to add a little green. I will have the link to them below.

*** The standing fridge I used works for my space and it is not enclosed and it has plenty of room for hot air to escape, it is however recommended to use an actual built-in fridge with a vent from the front if you are going to enclosed the fridge. ***

Hey, Tan. Trying to do a similar project and want that exact mini fridge. Do you know the brand and any other info? Thanks!

Wasn’t sure I would be able to find a video that would help me execute my vision in the space I have. After finding this it was perfect! A quick trip to Lowes and an hour later I have transformed my space. Thanks for the help!

For cutting the counter top straight a clamped down straight edge fence would help nail the line 👍 awesome project man

Wow this came out great and looks way easier than I expected. I had no idea you could just buy base cabinets pre-assembled like that. What a relief!

This is exactly what the plan I had in my mind on how I want to do my project. Came on YouTube to see other people's ideas on how other people do it. Looks like that's the best method. I like how you used a level to find where to put your support piece of wood. I 1as thing of just using my laser level but I think the ruler level will be easier and sufficient thanks!

What you could do to make the circular saw cut straight is screw a straight scrap piece to the part of the cut youre not going to use. Then you just saw with the circular saw flush against that piece all the way down.

Whoever is going to attempt this, keep in mind the OP did not use the correct fridge. You will need get a 'built-in' type fridge. What this means is that the fridge will have a front vent at the bottom or top so that it will not overheat. If you choose to use a fridge like in this video, you will need to give lots of opening around the fridge for proper ventilation or you run the risk of the fridge overheating and/or fire...

Is your wine dry getting good ventilation. I would have used a bottom vent fridge.

Very Cool Tan!!! Quick question. You said you did not secure it so I'm guessing no issues with movement of the fridge when opening/closing door. Did you have any issues with the fridge overheating since the back is closed? Thanks and I loved "if I can imagine it I can do it"
