Posting this HK Android Tracked BT Robot test video to answer question I originally had about this kit. a) What app do I need to use to make it run properly and b) How does it actually work. I got the robot to work properly on a Lenovo smartphone (need the accelerometers for steering) and now also have the Arduino code in case I want to build a bigger robot .... Hmmm I wonder what happens if I used 540 motors ....

I want to learn as much about robots - this is another area I always wanted to dive into. Open source software coupled with cheaper hardware has made robotics very affordable. Imagine the possibilities - remote or autonomous robots to do a lot of your routine work - carry things around, secure perimeters, clean your floor (hmm they already have that ...) or even feed your fish from half way around the world ... bwa .. ha.. ha .. ha...

Ha ha! My new friend that has the lasercutter writes programs for the Ardupilot and is part of another company called AeroSensor. They do work for the US forest service using aerial platforms with sensors that are piloted by the Ardupilot. That's my next purchase to put on my big hex.
