Long Beach parking SUCKS if your home doesn’t have a driveway or parking garage. I used to live in an older neighborhood and park on the street. Someone used to puncture the tires on every car. I suspect they worked for the local tire shop

The parking enforcement police are ubiquitous and predatory. Parking is an issue, especially in Belmont Shore. The other is bad air quality from the usual sources but add the container ships moored in the Port of Long Beach with their engines running. The fine oily black dust finds its way into everything indoors. The Alameda Corridor handles thousands of flat beds from the Port to the L.A. rail yard. The air is unhealthy, really unhealthy. From the dense diesel fumes.

North Long Beach is high violent crime, it’s next to Compton, Wilmington and densely high-gang territory. You’d be safer in nearby Seal Beach or Rossmoor in Orange County.

I live in Long Beach and I’m not gonna lie it kinda sucks and nothing really nice about beside downtown Long Beach :/ the Jack in the box is currently getting robbed at gunpoint as I type this out
