Really love the filters on this mixer. That's actually what you want, just a clean cut, no boosting the frequencies cause that really destroys people's ears when playing out in clubs and festivals.

It took me a few years but I ordered one a few days ago. So excited to get to know it. Cool review.

Definitely for me, ...what a privileged bunch of music lovers we are to have manufacturers so in tune with the needs of each type of DJ out there ;)

Carl Cox's mixer of choice. It's like a studio board and DJ mixer in one.. It's perfect!!!

You review gear so well. There is nobody on youtube other than Ellaskins, who I trust more than you. I am the target audience for this mixer, but it doesn't matter, this is the best review of this mixer that exists

That's the type of tool perfect for techno or even reggae-dub DJs/artists to use. It seems like a shrunken down high quality anolog old school studio mixing board. Great review.

Every time i do backline work, the sound of this mixer also sticks out. Its a fluffy pillow to the ears while remaining the analog gritty we love.

i would love to get a smaller brother for this mixer (like pioneer did it with the djm 450 for the djm 900 nxs), the features are insane but not everyone needs 6 channels and 2 send/returns, or has the money to buy such a expensive and indeed strange mixer without getting started with its style

Been waiting for this review for ages - and it didn't disappoint. Good job Mojaxx as always. I'd love to have a go on this and think the sound sculpting section used in conjunction with the 2 filters per channel is a great, innovative idea. I see people not liking this already in the comments, but don't forget that the very first mixers used didn't even have ANY EQ's on them AT ALL!!!! So the invention of the EQ was new and pushed the boundary's at the time - and now it's evolved again now here we are. No denying this is for a very niche market and would be interested to see worldwide sales figures. But as Mojaxx said - this has been designed by a very specific artist to use how he likes, and it does that job perfectly - so just need a lottery win

brilliant review. a mixer i have been genuinely wanting to know more about. the mixer is almost perfect. but just like the reviewer, i am not too keen on the sculpting section. i'm coming from the xone 92 with the 4 band eq, which i love. the one thing i would like on the xone 92 is a filter on each channel instead of having to share 2 across all the channels. maybe i'll wait for the PLAYdifferently Model 2 !!

Look, you can have a kind of standard eq out of this while it isn't that at all. Just go for the mids with the parametric eq. It's just better that way. I want one!

Good to see Allen and Heath step up and build a serious sounding mixer again! Not built a mixer of this calibre since the v6! :)

i can see its appeal. running groove boxes and studio fx, computers through it. clean sound. nice and simple for just mixing . There is a market for crossover mixers that can be used for live production and studio work. I got a Korg Zero 4 when it was released to fit my needs of using for more than just DJ. if you own a bunch of expensive high end studio gear and want the quality of a high end mixing desk that fits in a dj booth or on a festival stage its a good mixer for touring.
