In this video we'll take you to the Normandy region of France where you can explore the most beautiful and famous beach of Etretat.

Étretat is a town on the north coast of France. It’s known for the striking rock formations carved out of its white cliffs, including the Porte d'Aval arch and L'Aiguille (the Needle), a pillar rising up from the sea. To the north, the cliffside Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Garde has dramatic views. Etretat is especially famous for its white cliffs.

At Etretat, there are several arches and sea stacks. Most are on the South side called "Falaise d'Aval". The whole town revolves around the beach. The waterfront is limited by high straight cliffs on each side.
There is a wide promenade to easily walk from one end to the other with beautiful views in every directions.

Visiting tips:

*I recommend planning a minimum of 2 days. You want 2 opportunities to explore at low tide to check both side of the cliffs
*Bring good shoes to hike on the beaches and cliffs
*The beach is made of pebbles, this is not to everyone's taste...
*It is Northern France, so the water never gets really warm
*Book accommodation early - this is a beautiful place to stay and a popular one!
*Don't miss the sunset
