My son inherited my 13 when I got a 17. Both are 5.3 engines The 13 is a much better engine and ride, we both agree.

I'm still running my 02 Silverado ext cab long bed Z71 4x4. Paint, body and interior are in great shape. Engine was leaking oil at the rear main seal and I had low oil pressure. It has 348k miles on the original motor and transmission. I was considering getting rid of it but with the current prices of new and used cars, I thought it might be worth it to get the work done. 250k of the miles came in a 3 year period between 2017-2019, and are mostly highway, so I figured the motor was still good. I decided to spend the money and get the rear seal replaced and had the oil pump replaced at the same time. WOW am I glad that I did. It runs so good with 348k on it that it's scary. Even the GM lifter tap is gone after it warms up. FIX EM, DON'T SELL EM. Screw the dealers and these crazy prices.

My Mom's 2007 Tahoe LTZ has over 268, 000 mile on it still going strong. Original engine and transmission.

Nice truck. I've got a 2012 1500 WT with the small doors in back so extended cab I guess. Mine is black and I love it. 286k miles and running like new no joke.

Bought my 2008 single cab 4.3V6 brand new, transmission still shifts smoothly engine is still smooth and quiet. Have fixed or replaced small things had defective coolant line replaced engine coolant sensor, replaced valve vent solenoid as well as gas cap and thermostat but that's about it, absolutely no mechanical issues. Use it as my daily and will keep it till the wheels fall off...great truck.

Great video. Looking at getting one of these to pull a small trailer and this was a great help!

One of my co-worker is married to a former technical advisor for K&N. Over dinner one night he fessed up to the fact that K&N's air induction systems were pretty much hogwash. Without additional extensive and expensive modifications and engine retuning the improvement in performance was so small as to be undetectable. Save your money and don't fall for bullshit marketing. And yes, it does make the engine sound different but that doesn't translate to horsepower at the rear tires.

I own a 13’ 1500 LT Crew Cab and I must say it’s the best all around truck. Super reliable it’s ridiculous. 115k and pulls like new, interior is all leather and in great shape and it’s all black but tastefully done. Wish i got 4x4 only “complaint”

Put an oil catch can on it. I did one on my 2013 and it’s amazing how much it smoothed out the idle and it’s amazing how much it catches coming out of the pcv valve

If you live around where the roads are salted, the rocker panels and rear fenders are prone to rust. Transmissions generally fail around miles. A complete fluid change is due around d miles. I have 125000 on my 2011 it has been a reliable low maintenance truck.

I have a 2013 z71 crew cab. Every mod you made I ironically did as well when I got mine 4 years ago. I did however upgrade the brakes to the powerstop tow package. My bed is lined by LineX. I think my best upgrade was the brakes. When you have a load they don't hardly fade at all.

I have a 2011 LT crew cab 2wd I bought new. 78, 000 miles on it now. I keep a range device on it. Dash cracked when it was a year old (SouthCarolina sun). Other than a window switch. Been a very reliable truck. No rust either.

I bought a 11 sierra last year and despite a few issues with it, it runs well and sounds great

I did most things you did to my '13 Silverado 1500. Best thing was the AFM disable and tune. I suggest you install an oil catch can because the PCV for mine isn't a valve at all but straight pipe from the vent into the intake. Mine also did not have a cabin filter so I installed a kit I got off Amazon; wasn't hard else it will destroy your HVAC. GM getting to cheap to save a dollar so this would be my last one . I do love having it otherwise.

Got a 2008 about 6 years ago, leveled it and put a different exhaust on it and I haven’t had any complaints at all

Highly recommend a 6in Cherry Bomb glass pack makes it sound like a monster and fun driving on highway

Mine eats up headlight harness connector melts one about every 6 months . Stocked up on them easy enough to solder a new one on. Door actuators are starting to go as well. Other than that been a good truck.

I just bought a used 2010 Silverado 1500 LTZ. It's got almost 200, 000 miles but the price was really good so I went and looked at it. The owner claimed it was a 5.3L in his ad but, when I looked at the RPO codes, it's an L9H truck; non-AFM 6.2L. I couldn't get to the bank fast enough lol.
