It's sometimes necessary to create a hidden page for something like a feedback form confirmation or offsite payment system. You don't want these pages to be visible via a menu, so this tutorial demonstrates how to create a "hidden" Joomla page.

Very clear explanation, and it works on Joomla 3.3 too. Thank you!

I have a Joomla 2.5.10 version site using Gantry and K2, and the URL is different where the "article&id=xx" is replaced with "item&is=xx"

Other than that, very helpful. Thanks for the tutorial.

I stand corrected. to see the modules on that hidden page with Gantry/K2, you do need to change the "item&is=xx" to "article&id=xx&Itemid=xx" to view it. Sorry.

Well, the point of this method is that you don't really want it to be visible to the entire internet. SEO would be something you'd want to avoid in this case.

How do you do something like this if you want it to be search engine friendly

We do have a 'One2One' service - but at time of writing I am a bit too busy to provide it. YouTube doesn't let me put URLs here, but try to make your way through to our forum and ask questions there. - Dick.
