I'm wondering if actually the new style hose bissell is using will be more durable than the metal reinforced clear hoses. I find with the clear hoses, that it didn't take long and the hose would split, usually right where the hose meets the nozzle. I'm thinking the crush proof type hose may actually hold up better.
