Edwards Lifesciences opens Shannon Free Zone site

AN American company, which has promised an estimated €80m investment and 600 jobs in the Mid-West of Ireland over the next few years, opened its doors for business at its site in Shannon Free Zone this Wednesday.

Edwards Lifesciences Corporation, a global leader in patient-focused innovations for structural heart disease and critical care monitoring, is planning to hire about 60 people in Shannon this year in various functions, such as production staff, engineering and professional management, with the majority of these positions already filled.
