I was born & raised in Detroit, Michigan. When I was 13 years of age, after hearing Marvin Gaye's music I had to meet him! (I had every album he ever made!) I did not know what a “Concert” was, but I snuck out the house, willing to bear the consequences of "getting in trouble" with my very strict Mother. A guy from school that had a crush on me drove me to Cobo Hall. After we arrived I excused myself and somehow I made it to the front row! Marvin Gaye reached out to me, held my hand and sang a part of "Distant Lover" to me...I will forever cherish those moments! There will never be another Marvin Gaye!...One of the most handsome & sexiest men that’s ever lived! My apologies to my Dear Mother, because as a teen if I didn't play my Distant Lover ALBUM one million times I've never played it! ❤❗☮

I absolutely love Mr. Robinson. His song 'Cruisin' is so damn smooth and even smoother when cruising at night with your lady, y'all holding hands while both singing along and casually glancing at each don't get me started😁. Ladies and gentlemen, yall know what it is lol. Respect to yall🌹

His net worth is over 100 million. That’s how much of a legend he is! I remember seeing him in a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans years ago

Smokey is dope. When he said “he happened to be blind.” This man has been through more than we can fathom and he will always be a gentleman and it just drips from him!

I was born in 1954 so I came of age during this era, I feel so grateful to have been at the right age range for this, I remember Whats Going On and Lets Get It On like it was yesterday, you youngsters who are the product of hip hop, sampling era (Generation X, Millennials etc) will never know what you missed. Baby boomers will understand what I'm talking about since its our era, GenX and the millennial's wouldn't get it.

It's a good thing Stevie Wonder is a lot more humble as he gets older.
But, either way, Stevie and Smokey are two of the most talented legends of Motown and Soul Music.

24 year old here. I can’t express in words how much of a legend Smokey is. I always tell my peers the era of Motown is the greatest era in music history no debate.

That is hilarious. Stevie saying that to Smokey is hilarious. All I can say is, the bar was high! I didn't know Marvin Gaye was a multi-instrumentalist.
