5 Tips to make Epoxy River Tables:
Have you ever wondered how river tables are made? Well here's 5 Pro Tips to get you headed in the right direction. 1st - know your wood! Some wood slabs can cost thousands. But many times people on your local marketplace are selling slabs they don't want or need for dirt cheap. So do your research! 2nd - know how much casting resin you need! There's volume calculators online that are very handy in figuring out how much you need to get to complete the job right the first time. 3rd - watch video tutorials!! There's so many free resources for you to learn all the steps. No need to hop on the struggle bus the first time and try and figure it out. work smarter, not harder. 4th - seal coat, seal coat, seal coat! Wood is porous, so don't think your first flood coat is going to be your last. Bubbles will come up! So make so you do a solid job on your seal coats to ensure a smooth professional finish. And lastly - Start off small!! It will be perfect practice for you, and when you have a couple of them finished and you're ready for a big table, you can sell them for top dollar and make the money you would need (and then some) to pay for a larger project. Then rinse and repeat!

If you don’t get wood from a reputable source, like some random person, make sure the moisture level is sufficiently low

I love your channel. I'd love to redo our laminate counters but they have a raised bullnose edge.

Where do I get to purchase the epoxy equipment. I have been doing ceramic tiles for 20 years and loved your shower job. It was so much cheaper yet so beautiful on Styrofoam base. Making each wall one piece. I was so impressed. Im now on a desk for a automobile shop and would love to epoxy its tops with black and orange.

If you ever did a showing like at home Depot at Lowe's I would love to learn how to do this but I'm afraid I mess it up.

They charge too much for this goop. Mine turned yellow after 6 months… had to rip up my counter tops. To do this table would cost 1000’s of their resin. Too expensive!!

I know how you would do that. My question is: Why? It looks tacky AF.

Don’t seal the slab. The river will not adhere to it well if you do that
