Great advice. Listening is a muscle! Never thought of that before. I recite the Warsh every day so inshallah with this, my recitation will get better inshallah ta'ala

Also as a more general comment and advice to other students: although the internet has made it easier for students and teachers to connect, students still need to go towards the teacher and not wait for the teacher to come towards them. When a student makes an effort, doors open up for them.

Wa alaikum assalaam ... may Allah bless you in your studies and make you from ahl-ul-Quran. Nowadays it's easy to connect with teachers either online or by phone even if you don't have teachers in your locality. I would recommend Jaamiah Jazriyyah run by Sh. Uthman Khan for hifdh and qira'at. For maqamat I'm a little biased ... lol ... alhamdulillah our training courses are run online so you learn that way.

Where do I can find long recitation in one certain maqam only? Since I find some imams frequently switch maqams during their recitation.

salaam, in listening to full recitations, do you need to know the certain maqam they are reciting in at different parts/ayahs? or do you just listen passively and naturally learn and learn just by listening a lot?
