the great John Denver, ironicaly he first found fame in the UK , when he came over and done 6 tv shows for BBC 2 ( it was just starting then, and could only afford to pay a very small fee, to him, ) to cover hotel costs etc, but he was a over night sensation , Ifirst meet him at the london palladium, when, the live in london shows where recorded a bit later, over 14 shows in 10 nights . I have in my studio in france, a flight card ( you fill in on arrival in a new country, which he filled in with his real name /profestion / place of residence etc in UK, ) and it was stamped, but not collected, so he gave it to me when I asked for a autograph to remember the day , with my name and peace john denver .over many years his work music havee given me and my lady so much pleasure our favorite is WHAT ARE WE MAKING WEAPONS FOR ? as we can relate to it as our son in law meet our daughter at kiev university, at the time chernoble went off, and had to be avacuated, cheers ritchie / chrissy .
