@HHS Special shoutout to Admiral Rachel Levine! I had the privilege of meeting her and her incredible team this past week in Washington D.C. It was an honor and privilege. Thank you for the work you are doing Admiral Levine and team!

Question: would a ban on gender affirming care include using preferred and pronouns? I never thought of that being gender affirming care but it makes so much sense. Its also really upsetting that something so simple yet so beneficial could be banned

I went to the doctor for my annual exam and I told them I'm trans and they changed my chart right away, which was super cool. I also live in a pretty conservative area so that's nice

Dude i came out as trans right before my doctors appointment. They couldn’t do much since the system was not working the best that day but they used he for me and changed the nickname in the system to nico :))

Omg. This reminds me of the other day when I went to a clinic for a sinus infection. I was pleased to find neutral as a gender option and was called mx the whole time. I was super happy

I love how you share this, i wish that in the state we live in that they would actually let minors receive medical gender affirming care...

This is some nice stuff! I hope every medical center will once be like this...

Honestly reminds me of the lady in college when I was taking a test to determine if I needed it as a class accidentally deadnamed me (I had to write down my legal name for…obvious reasons) and the moment she said it and I came to the front she just immediately apologized because she was reading off the papers I filled out.

She was really nice and chill and I hope I can meet her again

In California. My son is trans, his primary doctors office and all medical professionals have always used his preferred name and have been extremely supportive of him, which has been amazing. Hes going to be an adult this year, I hope his new doctor will continue like this.

I recently have experienced how easy it has been to change my child’s name at school and for all of their doctors. It’s so validating.

I hate that every community is hated based off just a small percentage of them, for example gay/trans people are hated because they have some people that oversexualise the pride parade, and yes it's really annoying that we have to live with the "fear" of being compared to those people, we are not all like that, and I think that the parades should have some simple rules that anyone can follow, and if they don't they can't attend it, it's not an act of hate towards LGBT people it's a way to be in a healthy and positive environment for people who want to feel accepted for some time

I have never been so happy with a GP, when as soon as she was told changed my son from Miss to Mr. For legal reasons his birth certificate name needs to be used, but his name is in brackets next to it. And she does pap smears so he never has to uncomfortably sit in a waiting room getting strange looks from the others waiting at the gynaecologist.

Because gender affirming care is all the healthcare a trans person needs.

Question(s):

Do your pronouns have to match your identity?

And also,

Is it okay to be happy with you sex even if it doesn't match your gender?

When I went to get my physical they asked my mom to step out of the room so they could ask me some questions like “Are you sexually active?” “Do you know your sexual orientation?” “Do you have any questions you’d like to ask” etc (idr exactly how they phrased them so I’m kinda improvising 😂) and as I was leaving I noticed they had a bunch of (I’m assuming all of them but I only caught a glimpse) LGBTQ+ flags in the shape of hearts on the wall. I’m very lucky to live in a fairly progressive state.

Shout out to this medical facility, just respecting people’s pronouns should be a normal thing and having this place respect it is wonderful
