I’m a little bit concerned that with giving information to people on how to fix kinks in rails you are omitting talking about the kink vs bend rule and the golden rule which is repair the car how the manufacturer wants it repaired. For the most part this information was true up to 2005 but post 2005 cars changed forever with the introduction of high strength steels. We used to cut windows into the opposite side of frame rails to pound out kinks with all kinds of heat in mild steel. Nowadays unless it’s a simple sway without kinks or a sag or a slight twist we aren’t fixing them. Kinked rails get replaced. Respectfully, Unless you are talking about pulling to align before doing sectioning procedures to replace the kinked sections I can’t get behind your message. I’m a bit of an all data nerd and proper procedure is the name of the game for me.
