I am thankful for the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of Him, I have been able to overcome temptations and trials. He has made my weaknesses into strengths. He has given me comfort that death is not the end, and that like Job, "in my flesh, I shall see God." Although I am imperfect and I struggle, He offers me grace. He shows me His way. He tells me to let go of grudges, and when I do this, I can rise above the hurt. He tells me to avoid things that are harmful temptations, and when I do this, I can rise above my addictions. He tells me to repent of my sins, and when I do this I can become a better person. I know that I can accept His help by turning away from my bad habits and replacing them with His habits, like prayer, scripture study, and loving others. I know that my saviour Jesus Christ lives! And because He lives, I can rise above the things of this world. Although I may still struggle, have sadness, anger, and heartbreak, with His help I can make it through.
