You are Very wrong in your explanation with that example, coriolis force is just an apparent force that is visible due to earths rotation and application of ANGULAR momentum on things moving through air, you need to move in an angle to see a deflection, if you move parallel to the latitude you will not see any visible deflection but only your distance travelled will be calculated with net of your speed and earth's rotation speed, be it equator or poles, no deflection will be there when we move parallel to latitudes
Please correct me if I am wrong
