Oh, this is nice and actually useful, I was wondering when would they do that. I think we lost all those who understood those VB scripts, good to know we can replace them with fresh dudes who can now rewrite all of that in python. That feature is long overdue.

Last year I was literally rewriting VB scripts found in various MS Excel files to python and executing them in WSL. My workflow just got much simpler!

The problem is it’s on azure which can make it slower than jupyter notebook and also it won’t be free to process everything on cloud. That’s how Microsoft earns:)

I'm not sure who this is actually targeted at given the requirement for everything in the cloud rather than on a local machine. Corporate and other professional customers, the folks most likely to have a Microsoft 365 account, will ban it for data security reasons and personal customer accounts will be unlikely to need it.

Damn… I hope Python doesn’t take over the world cuz I’m not too good at it. And I learned Excel VBA just recently too. Hopefully that knowledge is still useful.
