The impact of Covid-19 on your local economy
Показать описание
While the macro-economic impact of Covid-19 is becoming apparent, we know the impact on local economies will vary significantly from place-to-place.
In this webinar, Rob Hall, .id’s Head of Economic Research & Consulting, will be presenting the early findings of our current research into the effect of Covid-19 on your local economy.
As specialists in local area data and analysis, we are currently building on .id’s 2019 economic data to provide a forecast for the economy of each Local Government Area in Australia. This modelling will provide estimates on GRP, jobs, hours, and industries at the LGA scale over the next 8 quarters.
To set the context for that data, we would like to share what we have learned so far to set a baseline for further analysis. We will then be holding follow-up sessions once the forecasts and subsequent updates are released.
This session will cover
-Economic conditions in the lead up to COVID-19
-Unique characteristic of the current ‘shock’
-The role of response & recovery efforts
-Estimating the outlook for the next 24 months
