2x Mitsubishi Elevators @ Escape Tower Parking Garage, Za'abeel, Dubai, UAE

The nine-level parking garage of Escape Tower sits across the residential driveway, and is connected to the sixth floor and basement of the main tower by means of a sky bridge and an underground passageway respectively. The garage featured a split-floor design, where each parking floor above the ground floor in the southern half of the building was raised by the height of half the floor-to-ceiling distance of a floor with respect to the northern half and connected via ramps. Above the parking floors was a health club for residents (labelled "H" in elevators), featuring a gymnasium and sauna as well as an outdoor deck with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The top floor (labelled "C" in elevators) was where the bridge to the main tower could be accessed from; the rest of this floor was occupied by mechanical equipments.

The garage had two elevators, all manufactured by Mitsubishi as was the case with the main tower, and located in the southern half of the building. As each floor of the raised southern section had not been numbered as mezzanines (1A, 2A, or 1M, 2M, etc.) but given whole floor numbers, the elevators only had even-numbered landings such as 2, 4, 6, etc. above the ground floor and below the health club level. For some reason, these had been installed as geared GPS-3 series from the previous generation of Mitsubishi's products instead of machine-room-less Elenessa which definitely had been available when this building was built. As such, the fixtures were also characteristic of late 1990s installations rather than those installed in the following decade, with black square buttons with numbers in Helvetica typeface and smaller, horizontal floor indicators. The cabs were designed in the same manner as the tower passenger elevators, only smaller. While their speed was alright, they did not run quite well, and printings on some of the buttons were beginning to wear out.
