Fix Restricted Mode On YouTube Has Hidden Comments For This Video

Let's fix YouTube if they've hidden some comments on a video because you have restricted mode turned on.

YouTube has the feature that lets you hide potentially abusive or inappropriate comments by turning on restricted mode. This allows you to watch videos without any bad comments that you may see. However, if you want to turn this off you can head into settings on your iPhone or Android and go to the restricted mode option on your YouTube app. Keep in mind, you may not be able to toggle the restricted mode off if you are a kid and your parents have some sort of parental lock on your iPhone or Android. But as of 2021 this process works to allow you to see those hidden comments.

This video wasn’t useful since YouTube has updated since then, but I just found out the reason comments were disabled on my YouTube was because I was connected to my schools wifi so I turned off wifi and used my data and the comments came back

I was at an rv park and was using the public wifi and i saw the comments were restricted. I watched your video but it didnt work. What also works is if your on a public wifi then switch the wifi, because if you cant toggle it then it means that the network admin controls it. So just change your wifi

I do not get the option of restricted mode. I had the option before, but somehow it is no longer available. I tried uninstalled the app, disabled the app, signed out and signed back in etc...

So as a test, I've looked up some mature videos that I don't want to see, and it doesn't restrict or hide any videos, only the comments. I'm fine with comments, what I don't want to see is the videos. Can anyone help with this?

There ain't no restrictive mode on mine because YouTube just takes all of it down now no freedom of speech for this guy

I finally figured it out (for me that is) how to turn off restricted mode when it says resitricted by administrator. I went into my Xfinifity account and found the setting to turn off. Ta da! My comments came back on.
