Boom Mic for Dialogue NTG5 vs NTG2 Vs STC1

What is the best boom mic for dialogue? well, Got my hands on a Rode NTG5 for a day and I wanted to compare it with my Rode NTG2 and the wild card in the bunch, The Sontronics STC 1 with the Hyper cardioid capsule.

How does this video have only 322 views??! I'm getting over 500 views on many of my vids and my production quality absolutely sucks compared to something like this ! 🤣 Great comparison between the mics - I have a AT897 right now which is a line gradient shotgun microphone and I can't get it to sound good indoor or outdoor. Thinking about picking up the NTG5 and being done with my search.

My choose by quality: NTG5. By price: NTG2. Sontronics STC1-1 was far too harsh for my ears.
