THANK YOU! Literally happened to my 2 month old Roku TV and was already freaking out looking at the warranty on it. I unplugged it for 5 minutes and the sound is back to normal.

I've only had my ROKU t.v. since April 2020. Like a dummy, I didn't purch the extended warranty. Stupid move bc it was only an addt'l $13. Yesterday the audio became static-like and I was freaking out! I tried several different things with the tv menu but nothing worked. So I started searching for trouble shooting videos here and found you! YOU SAVED MY LIFE!!! JUST happened to me with the ONN Walmart brand ROKU tv haven’t even had it for a month, turn the tv on and everything is crackling. Of coarse I panicked and called Walmart for a return lol But I did what you said after YouTubing the issue and it definitely worked. Thanks for the help!!!!

Oh my God! This exact thing happened to me last night. Sounded like the tv speaker was blown. This morning, completely no sound!
Thank you for sharing your experience and how to solve the problem. It doesn't make sense but glad it worked!
I have had my tv almost 2 yrs & always recommend to friends. Just bought one for my parents last week. Was starting to think I better get the extra warranty if not too late..

Is this something that is to be expected for now on?

Hey after watching ur video I went to the plug and it wasn’t all the way in the the socket and I unplugged it waited plugged it and sound is fixed thank you so much also make it a habit when you buy a tv or anything really tape the receipt to the back of the tv thanks again

Thank you. I had this problem yesterday and today. I went through all if my settings to make sure for some odd reason they changed. All settings were in order. I did unplug and plugged it back up and that did work. Thanks!

Oh my God, thank you whoever you are! My sister's TV was crackling last night then stopped working altogether today. We found your video and unplugged the television for 5 minutes and then turned it on and miraculously it worked. Thanks again!
