HGO's Giving Voice 2024

Giving Voice will be presented at the historic Third Ward church for the second year running. This year the Giving Voice concert series, created in 2019 by American tenor Lawrence Brownlee, will highlight the artistry and contributions of Black women in opera and the Houston community. The event, to be held on International Women's Day, will also mark Women’s History Month, celebrated throughout March.

1:24:01 Latonia Moore is incredible. She is unafraid of using chest voice and glottal attacks as true operatic singing must incorporate so, unlike the majority of the so called sopranos on the Met stage. With her amazing voice and technique, she is someone who gives me goosebumps and hope that operatic singing has not died yet.
