I love how in Ffxiv Zenos had a point in the end we truly seek the pleasures for our own sakes. His point is just exemplified by Elden Ring

I guess I’m being the contrary opinion, I actually enjoy finding out lore at my own pace and discovering the world piece by piece. Growing up in an era of both vague and detailed storytelling, it was refreshing just being the explorer starting an adventure and being fed bread crumbs as I continued to find out who I am and why I’m here. I enjoyed this ps2 game called baroque where at the beginning you are mostly told to explore this ominous tower and with each run more pieces of the puzzle are given to you slowly filling up a world.

I've hardly logged into XIV in the past 3 or so weeks since Elden Ring released because i'm so enraptured by this game and the sheer depth and scale of it. It's amusing to see you've taken much the same path, and really enjoyed this branching out from the usual!

I always disliked darksouls loretelling. But in eldenring it feels soooo fitting to an open world

For me it's the opposite the world building is trash because this type of world building requires a post apocalyptic setting
