I am 74 and alone downsizing and moving into a 28 foot by 12 foot home, I live on 900.00 a month so I know it can be done. It is all about the choices we make. Thank you and God Bless ♥ I subscribed♥

Yes, being more intentional really does save money! I hope to get to your level of not using plastic wrap or tin foil, that is truly amazing! I decided about 3 decades ago not to follow the fashion trends since so many women's clothes were made overseas, fell apart quickly, and also in my opinion not so beautiful. So I started buying vintage 80's dresses, tops, and skirts on eBay and I haven't really had to buy anything since. I also forgot to congratulate you in a previous video about your weight loss! It can be challenging to be intentional about calories as well as cash, but you're right, they both add up!

I think nutrition is more important than being full. Because if you aren't getting the right nutrition, you will spend a ton later in medical costs. But you can eat healthy foods for very little money. Beans, oats, potatoes, lentils, carrots, cabbage, apples, bananas, frozen vegetables. These are very affordable even on a tight budget and provide a lot of nutrition.

Yes, transportation is a basic necessity. But my personal definition of transportation is: my own two feet, or a pass for our county bus and trolley system. I pay 23 dollars a month. I still own a car, but really only use it for long road trips.

Hello Bonita and thanks for your video.
I myself am about 7 years from retirement and i am starting to think about how my needs will change, for example about clothes ; won t need nice shoes or dresses because i won t go to the office anymore. Maybe i will not get a gym membership anymore because i will rather biking and do my exercise at home (i already purchasef some équipment during lock down), and i guess i xill also extend my gardening activity. I think it us important to think about it in advance. And also to think about living with less, but still having a good life. So it is important to think of what is the most important thing to have a good life with less money. 😊

Realizing basics are food, clothing and shelter and the rest is luxury is the greatest gift. Growing up I learned many survival skills. Most I learned from books I also learned from friends and grandparents that taught many things. I am now grateful to have those skills. I have a library full of skill set books for reference. I borrow from the library often. I need a good gluten-free bread machine bread recipe. Most gluten-free bread my neice calls brick bread. I know my electric bill is between $60-$85 during summer. Heating with electric is $250/month during winter. When I get cold arthritis comes calling. I have a small farm and my critters have a symbiotic relationship that saves money. No waste. Everything is utilized. I have my own milk and make my own cheese. The whey goes to the chickens. I will have my own eggs chickens free range. I have my own meat source. Have a freezer putting garden produce into as becomes available. There are many ways to cut costs and make things more affordable. Watch others. Many people have great ideas they have learned from grandparents.

I have been blessed in that I have been a stay-at-home wife and mother for thirty-two of the 36-year that my husband and I have been married. So we have always lived off one income. If you can do that fantastic if you can't then absolutely the way Bonita does it is the key

I drink a full glass of water before every meal- it definitely causes me to feel full sooner -so I eat smaller portions as well as keeping myself hydrated.

You are so right Bonita. If you can live below your means regardless of how much you make that is the absolute key. That's what my husband and I have practiced our entire married life and have been able to pay off our home many years ago and be debt-free.

My husband has always said that. It doesn't have to be the perfect meal it just has to fill your stomach

I took your tip that you mentioned the other day Bonita and took my bread machine Outdoors let it run and made us a loaf of bread and that did not heat up my kitchen. Previous to that I took another one of your tips and took my crockpot outside and slow cooked a ham in my crock pot

I cut cable last week and will save $220 a month. I cancelled miscellaneous month subscriptions for things such as apps and websites and saved $95 a month. That’s a big deal when you multiply by 12 months! Then by a decade it’s over 30k!

I do the same with pot lids, and keep the oven, and toaster oven doors open in the winter. Everything helps. If only I can get my hubby to cooperate with electricity and AC/heat use!

I started writing to companies for coupons. I only do the companies I use. I don’t want to purchase anything I do not use.

Yr so right the many things that we are going thru is only temporary and just as the Bible says in 2 Corinthains 4:16-18....

So we can be sure that what we have now will be a thing of the past...as Isaiah 65:17....and so we can be confident that God will answer our prayers as he says in Psalm 65:2....

So for more info or insight on how you can build your relationship with our Creator Jehovah God of

And just like Paul went thru a most difficult life of his life as he says in Roman's 7:21-24....

And in 2 Corinthains 11:22-27....and how God heard his prayer in 2 Corinthains 12:8-10....

So for us to read what we can do instead of depriving our selves from certain things but God will hear us when we pray as what 1 John
