Does the car need to be stopped before pushing the awd lock button? I have a 2022 Kona SEL with AWD. I live on a short steep private road that turns into a muddy mess (think mud bog) when it rains. Wondering if I should leave it in automatic mode or use the lock button?

I was driving 65mph on slippery icy roads like nothing and everyone ahead was hard braking cuz some cars spunt out. So I just gradually slowed down a little and cruise pass everyone on highway here in st.louis 😆😆

I been driving big rigs now for 25 years. But i drive local only now home daily.
I was running late for work that day is why I was driving 65mph through slippery conditions. But I am more aware of the situations in my experience anyway👍🏽😁 I am a professional driver but more experienced especially driving around this whole country over the years

I think it should be mentioned that that speed limit of 20 mph doesn't apply to all Hyundai models. At least because on my manual for the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, it says 40 mph is the maximum and then Auto All-Wheel drive is activated.

No Sir .. Peace of mind and safety are two different things 😂 4wD or AWD lock doesn't have anything to do with safety.. more like convince.. being suck or can't make it up your driveway is really a inconvenience 😅 but 99% of the time u'll be fine.. sliding off the road at 45 MPH and hitting the ditch that's getting into safety aspect.. cheers 😊

When i drove home from the dealership with my new tucson i had the Diff lock engaged (light was on) did this cause any damage to the vehicle?

My girlfriend got a new KONA and I found that locked AWD was LOCKED.
