place your document on the flat (not the feeder) of the printer, before you scan the document PREVIEW IT, you will see a dotted outline square, but your document or picture isn't as big, crop your document or picture using the dotted square, go to the corner arrow and move it to the document or picture, then scan it, you don't need to resize anything, then once its scanned save it as you wish, it will open to the 8.5 x 8.11

So I've changed the image size (this is not the same as PAPER size by the way). Now the image (already created) is A4 size but I can only see a small part of it because it is way larger than the white area that it is set on. How do I make them both the same.

yea but whenever i go onto MS paint it has no paper to draw on its just blank and i dont know what to do

Why does MS paint automatically resize the image when you go to look at it in print preview?

8.5x11 is printer paper size.. is that in cm, inch or pixal you neglected to say
