I Trained with the Greatest Competition Climber Ever

Janja Garnbret is the GOAT. At 24 she's already had more IFSC wins than any climber ever, male or female, by a long way and keeps setting records for fun 🤯 She took me through her typical workouts in the climbing gym and in the movement development centre where she trains and wow. She's just as special a person too, which makes it even more amazing to watch her raise the ceiling on what we think women are capable of!! Please show her some love, she deserves it 👏

Beyond the one arm pull ups 🤯 and out-of-this-world functionality, she's been so huge for women in the world of rock climbing showing us that anything is possible if you believe in yourself! Janja is a generational talent not just in climbing, but in sports in general. Her level of dominance in competitions is akin to a Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt. I wish her achievements received the same level of media attention those names did! She certainly deserves it.

i watched this video not knowing who Janja Garnbret was, and I figured phrases like “the greatest competitor this sport has ever seen” were a bit of a polite exaggeration out of gratitude for the access … then i fell down a two week rabbit hole of women’s bouldering and climbing and if anything it’s an understatement. holy sh*t she’s good

The chemistry here is unmatched. I've been climbing for year and have watch Janja hit and dominate at the world stage, and the thing I've come to appreciate most about her is her attitude. She loves the sport and doesn't let anything get in the way, and these training sessions show that. The collab we didn't know we needed, but now can't live without 😂

It's no wonder she's so dominant. She loves what she does, her personal training is kept interesting and fun, and her trainers are genuinely kind and supportive people. You couple that with an athlete with intelligence, grit and determination and you inevitably get a top athlete.

I really enjoyed the genuine mutual support between you two. I don't think I've seen so much positivity in a training vid as this. Those were tight hugs lol So much joy being displayed.
