This was such a good movie. My daughter and I just happened to come across it one day and it looked interesting, and we thought we'd give it a try even though we'd never heard of it before. By the time it was done we were amazed at how good it was. I don't understand how it didn't get more attention.

The first time I watched this movie I had no idea what it was about, and at first I thought it was a ripoff of Independence Day. My God how wrong I was.

I cannot watch this movie enough, and it makes me cry every single time. This film is simply extraordinary.

I didn't really get why people rated this film so highly. I thought it was OK but thats about it. And I'm not some dummy that thinks Fast and the Furious are high cinema. Blade Runner 2046 was fantastic... Maybe i should give Arrival another go.

I wish I never saw it. So I could keep seeing it for the first time. It was just a mesmerizing film. Perfectly cast, beautifully filmed, directed and written. This movie was near perfection.

saw it in theaters. one of my fav directors with my fav lead actor! it was brilliant and heavy and awesome on the big screen! it pays to pay attention to directors and actors, even if u dont know much about the film. it was advertised in an odd way but makes sense after viewing. no spoilers!
