I don't think the Blues can realistically make any moves at forward until they fix the logjam of NTC contracts and cap space among their under-performing blueliners.

It's honestly sad to see him leave the Sens. They have one of the most promising young cores in the league.

I would actually love to see the Wild trade Gus for DeBrincat if we aren't able to get him on a team-friendly deal. I hope Gus stays in top form, but paying a goalie big money for one good year just isn't a good idea, and like you said, we still have Wallstedt, so selling high on him would be good if we can get value in the trade. We may just assemble a Swedish national team, though, so we might have to keep him.

Washington is perfect for Debrincat. GMBm said the offseason goal is too get a young top 6 scoring winger and here he is, do not count Washington out of this

Unless its a high first rounder this year, i don't see them trading him for picks

Do the Senators really want to see DeBrincat in a Red Wings uniform every time they play a division rival? Minnesota or St. Louis makes more sense. They also have better players to offer Ottawa, than the Red Wings have right now. From a Red Wings fan, I just don't think draft picks will be enough in a trade.

Ottawa would only take a picks heavy trade for DeBrincat if all other options fell through.

I genuinely didn’t know you could make deals right now, I thought the trade window didn’t reopen until the draft 😂

Apparently DeBrincat is open to staying now idk what to believe Sens should keep him anyways he'll have more value by the trade deadline if he doesn't want to sign anyways since he should bounce back this season

A couple assets I could see Detroit moving for DeBrincat are Filip Zadina, along with the Isles 1st round pick this year

Was it intentional to select only Blackhawks rivals? Because if so that’s very funny

I think he’d be a good fit in Washington

Debrincat (signed to an multiyear extension first) and a pick/a prospect to the Capitals for their 1st this year (8th overall) and Anthony Mantha. Debrincat should love to be reunited with his best friend Strome and Mantha is a cap dump. The Caps top three RW would be Wilson, Debrincat and Oshie. Not too bad. They aren't rebuilding as long as Ovi is there, but this would make them a bit younger and more dangerous. Sens get the high first back and they can use Mantha for a year or buy him out.

Great video mate as always, as you mentioned the Senators don't really need draft picks as we traded for DeBrincat for the goal-scoring ability and a large piece of the jigsaw that would see us make the playoffs. This being the case we are not only trading away a bid asset here we are also making another team stronger in the process unless we take a player + draft picks. Sadly I see this as being a potential "worst trades of the NHL" video selection down the line if we don't secure a decent player in return as a happy and motivated DeBrincat is lethal, not sure we really saw that this season in Ottawa sadly partly down to the Norris injury as I think his presence would have meant a more lethal DeBrincat in front of the net. Good luck to Alex though, I like the guy and just wish he wanted to like the ownership announcement is now close aswell so who knows, this might all I doubt it lol! GoSensGo!

Teams should be trading for Keller instead imo

I think I can speak for all Hawks when I say seeing DeBrincat in a Blue Note would make me violently ill

As a blues fan. We need a center not a winger. And to sign him, we will need to send cap back. All the contracts you would want to get rid of, have full NTC. I would love to have him, but still.

Detroit wont happen cuz both are in the atlantic

Detroit needs a good right shot defender to play on the second line. Blue Jackets have too many defenders so they might be forced to sell low on Adam Boqvist

With the moves the Jackets made last week, I wouldn't be surprised if Kekalainen tried to get him
