SIPP vs ISA | Self invested personal pension explained

In today's video, we are going to talk about the question, SIPP vs ISA. I go into more information about ISA's ( individual savings accounts ) & SIPP's ( self invested personal pensions )

Both accounts have their own pros and cons, and which suits you best may differ from mine!

I personally have both a SIPP and an ISA, but this suits my journey towards early retirement.

If you have any questions, please do leave them in the comments box below.

Great video, it's worth noting that with a SIPP you also save money on all the other deductions like Student Loans and National Insurance as well which is pretty awesome!

I’ve been thinking about opening a SIPP. Perfect timing with the video!

I have both, and I would stress to anyone thats the best thing to do. But obviously seek your own financial advice.

Great video again. Wis I’d found you years ago. Would you just invest in a SIPP if you were 48, self employed and didn’t need any cash before you were 55?
Thanks Gary, keep up the great work.

I agree, start investing in employer pension or SIPP. Pension contributions gives free cash from your employer into your pot. I have done mistake by starting pension contributions late but if you starting your career then start pension ASAP.

Like you, I hold both. For the same reasons as you, I have a business so take advantage of reducing my corporation tax and have an isa to give me more flexibility if needed.

Quick question. I pay into them weekly as any forecast calculators I have used seem to say I have a better chance of higher returns doing it weekly. I pay £250 a week into each account rather than £1k a month each. Is that because of cost averaging?
