Follow CMT's Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!

As soon as Julia said what she said, I literally said out loud “OOOH NOO”. It just rubbed me the wrong way.

I don’t think Julia was wrong for WHAT she said but it was HOW she said it. True DCC doesn’t last forever, but you have to craft your words in a way that let them know you’re going to be proud to be a member of the team for however long you will be then proudly go on to your next steps in life with the things that you learned as a DCC and take that with you in your next steps. Like oh I’m just here to have something on my resume, any employer, DCC or otherwise would’ve been very offput by how she said that.

Julia’s answer was not professional even if she’s being honest she should’ve been more careful with her words. At the same time being a cheerleader isn’t a lifelong career. Most are done after a few years.

Poor Cat. She’s trying too hard. Either that’s or she’s nervous. I would be!

They nitpicked Kat too much in this clip in my opinion she's been doing great as a rookie who's NEVER had dance training like gah lee

If I was in a job interview and mentioned I just was using the job as a boost on my resume, I wouldn't be hired. Same goes for the DCC, it doesn't matter how long you'll have the job for - it's unprofessional and off-putting.

I think Julia could of saved herself if she was more self aware. She totally didn't understand what she said in media training was wrong and then got pissed after they confronted her about it. She's pretty and a great dancer but you can tell she wasn't going to be a good teammate. Better for the team she was let go.

I hated how the interviewers thought that they weren’t good at sports, but I loved how chandi clapped back in a very professional way

The look Scott gave it at the end . He’s thinking “yeah she ain’t making the team with that attitude.”

When Julia said that she was basically using DCC to advance her resume you could tell Scott was like "Girl bye" 👋

Julia Everyone knows the Dallas Cowboys are temporary but she pretty much declared she's only in it for the exposure. That would rub any employer the wrong way.

I understand Julia could’ve answered that last question better but these DCC careers only last 1-5 years. He acted like DCC deserves her entire life career...for being a reporter, he should know better. Good for her to plan ahead in life!

They just told Madeline before she was cut that they are offended by people using them as a steppingstone!! So she gone!

It is perfectly fine to tell an employer that a position is going to benefit you in the future, but you have to explain why. Point out the key details of the position, explain why it is so great, elaborate on the profession development it will bring to you. You cannot just accredit it to "looking good on my resume, " you have to milk it. Julia could have easily talked about how as a DCC, she is constantly in the spotlight performing the entertainment of others, which is crucial in the broadcasting business. It's not just about entertainment though, they do volunteer work, perform for those in action, and work with children. The position allows her to gain that comfort in front of cameras and people, while also giving back to their communitynand gainingna greater world perspective

I can not believe she actually said she was using the DCC to further her career. That's a no brainer, TONIGHT WILL BE YOUR LAST NIGHT! If you had told us this from the get go, we would have picked someone else who really wanted to be there not just something to add to their resume. I would have called her up before she came into class that night and told her not to bother coming back.

Julia definitely should have left it at the broadcasting career. I mean, they DID ask what would be after.

Tbh, people who tryout for this team really need to careful about saying that being a DCC is a "stepping stone" to enhance their career. Because of them saying that, it's a slap in the face for Kelli and Judy, and even those who are still in training camp or got cut. Be careful what you say next time.

..and now i know why Julia gets cut. She hadn't been on their list of girls struggling. How sad. Good luck girl. 👋

Everyone saying you can't be a cheerleader forever doesn't understand dance and performing. No dance or performing gig lasts forever but things like the Dallas cowboys cheerleaders or the Rockettes or thing's of that level are a goal for many if not all dancers and performers making a career out of what they do. It's not just something to boost your resume
