Transmission couldn't hold the supercharged power. Add an extra cooler and drop the transmission out and have it rebuilt with stronger parts. Maybe $5k total to have it fixed.

If you don't want to go that route there are plenty of transmissions available that have been pulled out of wrecked vehicles some with low miles.

Also check the fluid level. It is sealed but I have seen them low before. I think it might be a fluid problem.

I really really don’t wanna be this guy. But… that’s a tundra for you. You need to rethink what you NEED rather than what you WANT. I work and am a fan of all makes and models of trucks but BY far. The 2017 and up f250 with the 6.7 is by and large the best driving, quietest, most reliable and all around cheapest to own of the big three heavy duty trucks. Also the 2015 and up 2500hd trucks either 6.0 gas or 6.6 duramax are great but the allison in the duramax tends to be an issue point in those trucks in anything but stock form. Feel free to let me know if you need some info on anything or whatever. I work on Hd trucks for a living. Anything from stock to wildly aftermarket. Especially since you tow a lot, you really need a 2500/250

My Tacoma did this to me earlier in the year…. it has a sealed transmission but upon checking the fluid it was low. I use 4x4 frequently and it scared me but after putting some fluid in at the dealer it seems to have fixed the issue!

Hey Jordan, U do realize that since Toyota isn't doing any work on ur truck under the warranty. That's u would be better off taking it to a certified transmission shop that's not affiliated with Toyota and get it done sooner and faster most likely!! The only time taking ur vehicles to dealers is just when u have a warranty on it!! Most all of the transmission shops use the same dealers parts and will cover their work no matter what u have done to ur truck mod wise!!

Get a built transmission for the horsepower and weight of the truck. Stock tranny clearly won't hold... not much of a cost difference especially if it's out of pocket.

To be honest, look into a built trans. With the mods on your truck and towing...it might be beneficial to have something built to your specs/needs.

I have an 06 Ram 2500 that I bought used where the dealership replaced the transmission just before I bought it. Thought it was going again until I found another common problem....calipers going bad. Ended up replacing 3 seized ones. Probably could have caused even more transmission problems, a.k.a. another rebuild/new one. I feel your pain. I've put a few thousand and personal knuckle skin into mine for maintenance.

You probably need to regear the truck. It will help put less stress on transmission

A good pickup truck gets you to where you need to be, but will always keep you on your toes. Once you get comfortable, bam new repair. Ive got a 98 Silverado, its my baby, its a hunk of junk but ive put nearly 10k into keeping it on the road in the past 3 years.

You can call that extend warranty company and cancel your warranty and get a pro-rated refund, since they won’t cover anything.

So basically you need a front and rear diff gear change, so that your Tundra can handle the weight and the big tires.. otherwise you're just going to cook another transmission
