In 1987/88 this park was a class act and right as the crack epidemic was progressing aggressively the park began to go downhill. Believe it or not it used to be a great family park and the chill spot. This definitely hurts. Wow.

I live one block away from this park, unfortunately, and all of these people are not homeless due to hardships. They are simply drug addicts. This is all a choice they’re making. The majority of these people are not even from California. They come from states like Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Louisiana and Florida. Los Angeles County needs to bus these people back to their corresponding states so that they can take care of their own citizens.🤨

Back in the late 70s and early 80s, my parents used to take me and my brother to that park. Nowadays, you can't even take a walk at the park without watching someone hitting a pipe, shooting up, and getting beat up because of drugs.
