I never normally look at YouTube to help with puzzle's in games but damn that puzzle had me scratching my head for almost a full hour thanks for the vid man

The journal clue for this puzzle was absolutely inscrutable nonsense. I ended up brute forcing the puzzle like a multi-wheel combination lock turning all the statues to face inward and then going around the circle moving each in a 4:1 ratio to the next statue. It took like 40 minutes lmao.

The statue in the northern position looks north. The statue in the eastern position looks east. Southern position looks west. Western position looks south.

I was so drunk and high when I tried this. I'm not normally someone that struggles to the point of looking up YT guides in games. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one lol..

Got it. Thats a trap: it does not matter if the drawing of the statue in the book looks to the right or the left. Angel must look to the north direction according to compass. Cow to the south and so on... it does also not matter on which position the statue stand.
Bit why is the west labeled with O in the compass, not with W??
Basically here is lot of uneccessary information that misleads you. But you need to ignore it.

Spent half an hour, looking at the booklet the only logical solution I could come up with is they're all facing a specific direction like Matthew the angel is facing east. My literal first attempt was close to the solution except for the two facing the entry that opens. This puzzle gave me aids.

Puzzle is not hard, its just totaly misleading. Notebook pictures have absolutely no connection with the direction you have to face them. Thx for tue video, otherwise i would have dropped this game at this exact moment :D
