Is the wayward children written to be middle grade/YA. Or is it written like adult just with young characters?

Oh god I wanted to read all these too but I currently owe my library a bit of money and am too ashamed to show my face there 😂 when I finally return the book I’m holding onto, I’m looking forward to checking these out! Also I love that your cat always wants to sit next to you while you film.

I read (and loved) Project Hail Mary physically but I can imagine the audiobook must be great :- )

I need to read so many of them ! I can’t wait. For Tchaikovsky I recommend Guns of The Dawn, it’s very pride and prejudice meets napoleonic style war with magic (it’s also a stand alone). I think I might read She Who Became The Sun with the Jasmine Throne and The Unbroken.

as an ecology nerd, tchaikovsky's children of time is by far and away one of the best sci fi books i have ever read.

but be careful if you're arachnophobic lol

I read Project Hail Mary from the physical book, and LOVED it. I really enjoy the sciencey bits, though I can see how someone who is less into that would not. For me it was cool because Rocky was so well thought out biologically. I'm tempted to listen to the audiobook as I've heard that it is great, especially the way that Rocky's dialogue is read. I think you've inspired me to read Elder Race - it sounds very interesting!

Kind of off topic but I recommend Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh and The Price by Lily Hammer. I would love to hear your thoughts if you haven't heard of them before. Silver in the Wood won the 2020 World Fantasy award.

Fireheart Tiger and Elder Race are the two novellas I have left to read for that portion of the Hugo Awards nominees! Still have like 4 books to read for the novel portion though...

I absolutely do not care about LGBTQ+, saphic or whatever is no requirement for a book. The more people place requirements like these in what they read, the more shit they'll read and the more good authors will be left out. Not that I have issues with that type of content but it should not be made a requirement.
