I used to work in the building in 2006 before it was changed. There was a host of small offices in that building and a service road behind it. The other side of the road was a multi-storey carpark. The service road was Dorset street and it was still there when i worked there, but it looked more like a delivery road for the building. The original street had been half demolished and the Fruit and Wool Exchange was built, there are some old back and white photos showing houses on one side of Dorset Street and the loading bays for the fruit and wool exchange on the other side. Then the other side of the street was demolished and the multi story carpark was built. But Dorset street was still in between those two buildings. When i worked in that building it was all small offices but all the original loading bays at the back were still there and i could get through Dorset street into the office. If you want to know where Dorset Street was go the church yard on the corner on the commercial road side. Then go over the the far wall of the church garden and look at the new building. That is where Dorset street was, directly across from the end of that church garden.

You seem like a lovely bloke Jamie but this is the homeless version of glamping! I enjoyed some of your content so I’ll chip in a couple of quid for your worthy cause and wish you well with your book pal 👍
