The people of Clyde River are going to the Supreme Court of Canada to fight for their rights as Indigenous Peoples to decide what happens in their waters. They want to stop seismic blasting in their Arctic home, one of the northernmost communities in the world.

For the community, this case is not just about the right to decide, it’s also about the right to eat. Inuit throughout the Arctic source much of their food from the sea, and with store food prices as much as triple those in the south, it’s easy to see why. Not only that, but hunting and gathering has been their tradition and way of life for millennia.

Watch as actor and writer, Emma Thompson, learns about the deep connection between Inuit and Arctic animals, and the danger that is threatening them all.
