Does this confirm that something I've been doing for years in Madden isn't actually a glitch???
😂😂😂😂

This is pure genius. The NFL will probably make it illegal.

And then Mac promptly throws a pick. Man this team is frustrating. If the offense would stop waiting to exist until the final 10 minutes that would be great.

Time for the NFL to make another kicking rule.

NFL shouldn't ban this. 1. It makes football more exciting with more blocked FG's, rather than them being that most sure thing ever. 2. There's an easy counter, just have a man on the runner to block him.

I did this all the time in NCAAF, it just never worked

“An innovative play that favors the defense? Can’t have that!”
-the NFL competition committee when this is banned faster than the speed of light next offseason

Is anyone else surprised that Belichick found another rule to finesse?

For people saying offsides could happen, you do it on 4th and longer than 5, the guy is running sideways being careful not to go offside. He was timing the tell from the holder to jump the snap on this one but he did another one later where he waited and didnt go offside and the FG was missed

That is one of the best special teams plays I’ve ever seen

Coach McDaniel: "Next week no field goals only TDs."

Is it just me, or is it kinda shocking that, with all the innovations in the game over the years, this is just now coming out. Once you see it, it’s just such an obvious idea. Why’d it take so long to get into a game? So interesting how the mind works…

Why haven't they thought of this before? Literally starting at a velocity higher than 0 makes the most sense to reach a target distance. It's almost like it's a bunch of uneducated men battling over a vulcanized rubber ball sweating in armor...

The patriots always come up with some of the best plays and then a few weeks into the season other teams start doing the same. Props for the coaching staff for being creative with these plays

That would be the easiest first down to get...a hard count would get that guy most of the time

Beautiful play. You can tell the guy gets his running start once the holder looks at the kicker and makes his break when the holder looks back at the snapper

Bring a guy in from each side, or bring two from one side and then you have to figure out an entire new blocking scheme because you don't know who is actually coming. Also would be easy for the kicking team to catch the defense offsides on this.

It seems easy to counter, just make the team aware that you might delay the signal if you see a moving defender. I guess it could disrupt the mechanical rhythm that the team has honed in practice, but it is something that can be practiced. QBs do this too, does it cause offensive offsides? yes, does it require more concentration?, yes.
