In the Wake of Ex's 'Emotional Abuse' Claims, Jonah Hill's Streetwear Brand Sells 'Complete Unrelenting Control' Merchandise.

With its latest line of products, the actor's brand, Meaningful Existence, faces irony and controversy.

In an unusual turn of events, Jonah Hill's newly launched streetwear brand, Meaningful Existence, is embroiled in a controversy as the actor is accused of controlling and manipulative behaviour by his ex-girlfriend. At the same time, the brand appears to be selling merchandise that supports the allegations.

A $30 "emotional baggage tote" emblazoned with the words "Complete Unrelenting Control" is one of the items causing a stir. The same phrase appears on shirts, hats, and even "foot hugger" socks. Given the recent allegations against Hill, this unusual branding synergy raises eyebrows.

The clothing line, which Hill debuted last month as Prophet Ezekiel Profit, is satirical of lifestyle and wellness influencers. It sells items like "Smells Like Wealth" candles and "Infinite Hug" weighted blankets. Hill has been spotted at events, including a Lakers game, dressed as the cultish character Profit, accompanied by "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna, who was also dressed in Meaningful Existence attire.

During an interview with Complex, Hill, as Profit, described the line's main slogan as "The more you pay, the happier you get." He expressed his belief that true happiness can be attained by amassing material possessions.

Interestingly, despite the irony of the brand, Meaningful Existence donates 3% of its sales to nonprofit therapy resources and mental health services. It has also collaborated with BetterHelp, an online therapy platform.

Sarah Brady, Hill's ex-girlfriend, recently took to Instagram Stories to share her allegations against the actor. She shared screenshots of alleged text messages between the two, alleging that Hill manipulated and gaslighted her during their relationship. Hill allegedly coerced Brady into deleting photos of herself surfing in a swimmers, including one instance in which he asked her to delete a photo of her "ass in a thong." Hill's representatives have not yet responded, and the authenticity of Brady's posts is unknown.

Brady, a law student and avid surfer, dated Hill from August 2021 until early 2022. She revealed her reasons for sharing the posts, stating that keeping the information to herself was detrimental to her mental health.

Despite the allegations, Brady emphasized that Hill's behavior does not make him a "terrible person." Hill, who recently became a father with fiancée Olivia Millar in June, has been open about his struggles with anxiety attacks, which he claims are exacerbated by media appearances and public events. As a result, he has taken a step back from promoting his film projects and made limited public appearances.

The last notable red carpet event where Hill was seen was at the 2021 premiere of his Netflix film, "Don't Look Up," where he and Brady made a stylish entrance in matching suits.

As the allegations continue to unfold, the clash between the accusations and Meaningful Existence's merchandise raises questions about the branding choices and the public perception of Jonah Hill's latest venture.
