Be careful out there. The stock market is ruthless right now.

For the Google stock split, more importantly the Barrier to entry for options trading changes too, which has a big effect

I initiated a position at $248 once I saw the drop. I was going to start a position a few days ago at $308 but held out on it. If I liked it at $308, I LOVE it at $248.

Why did you say FB's earning were negative, while SBUX earnings are mixed? They both missed on EPS, and slightly beat on revenue.

So many buying opportunities right now. Running out of cash is the main PROBLEM!

That is literally it. Every stock that I own is a high conviction play even though every single one of them are severely down. It is getting hard to hang in there even Down $125, 000, this isn’t “teasing” this is a massacre that I just hope will turn around.

I'm definitely buying FB. I mean everything in this earning report was expected, I expected it and I am not even a professional. They said it in the last earnings report that they were going to spend money on the Metaverse for the next decade and Facebook like any other company...at some point the growth won't be as fast as in the early years. For the company to continue on the upward trend, they had to go into the Metaverse or else they would become simply an older company who stops innovating and giving out dividends. 25% drop is a massive exaggeration, but since there are little bargains to be made among the big name companies, this one will be on a massive sale tomorrow which I will likely buy.

Google/Alphabet is gunning for IBM's spot in the Dow Jones Index, that's the reason for the 20:1 split, it brings the share price down to a similar level as IBM, so they could be swapped out without impacting the index too much. They even mention this in the announcement where they say they want the stock to be included in more indexes, although they don't mention which one(s). Either way, I think this is going to bring more investors into the stock, especially if Dow Jones announces they are including Alphabet in the DJI.

This honestly truly surprised me. Who the hell sells Meta at 20 P/E. One of the most durable, cash flow generative, dominant, fast growing companies at a 20 P/E plunges 20%. going to be filling up the position tomorrow lol.

PayPal gets hurt more than visa because of the economy opening. Visa does pretty much every kind of transaction whereas much of PayPals volume comes from e-commerce. E-commerce is supposed to be worse in 2022 than 2021 so that is why guidance is lower this year. But in the investor presentation they talk about having a growth rate in the 19-20% which means this is a huge overreaction

Facebook still had a net income margin of 30% in Q4, price to FCF yield of 19 (after-hours price). I think whilst google benefits from having their own data from their platform, other competitors to Facebook will also struggle in terms of app platforms. Still a lot of growth ahead.

PayPal's support is abysmal. As a business owner, I want to stay as far away from them as possible. Huge fees, support that is not helpful at all...why would I do business with them

Surprised you didn't mention UPS. Blow out earnings and raised the dividend 49%.

my portfolio has good companies, however was red all through last year. My first year of investing and have been down 35% in the March/April sell off, and now down 17% in the last sell off. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad reck. I don't know if I should sell everything and just sit and wait.

I’m really not a fan of the Starbucks purchase. For me and most of my friends we only spend money there on rare occasions. It’s overpriced coffee and breakfast items that I can make at home for next to nothing. I work from home and more and more people are switching to that as well. If a recession hits then one of the first expenses anyone will cut to save money is a place like Starbucks.

Exciting day is an understatement, ha, between FB and Google alone... I think the stock split is a great move and as they always do.. makes the stock appear cheaper and gets new investors in the door thinking they are buying on discount... FB I foresee coming back easily, but will be more of the META approach which is their ticket into the next decade..

do you not have fractional shares in the states ? the price of google wouldn't be an issue as you can still buy as much as you want

Paypal is not in the same competitive area as Visa/MA I think you said this on your video about selling V/MA. Also, I previously heard you state previously that you were an engineer, you can reference the OSI model and how different layers contribute to data movement. It's like this in Fintech and Paypal isn't on the same layer as V/MA... anyway Great video enjoy the content GL.
