This tutorial will teach you how to thread the Singer 66 sewing machine. This particular version of the 66 is made in the 1930s, and she is still going strong! I love the larger arm for quilting.

I have my Momma’s. She was given this machine in 1950 when she graduated High School. I’ve seen with this machine since I was 5. I’ve thrown away several Brothers. They cannot hold a candle to this fantastic machine.

I am an 80 year old man. I remember watching my momma sew using a treadle sewing machine when I was only a youngster, and I thought I could remember how to thread my ancient electric machine, and sure enough I did it but I am thankful that you had this video available so I could check my memory for how momma did it. Thank You again. Be blessed.

Thank you so much!! I received my grandmother’s old model 66-16 recently and I finished restoring it today and realized I had no idea how to actually thread it 🤦🏻‍♀️This video saved me so much time!

This is a perfect how to instruction. My grandmother passed on her machine to my Mom, and I had to help my Mom thread the machine when i was young boy when her eyes got too bad to do the job herself. That was 50 years ago. Now I have the machine and forgot how to do this, this video helped me to use the machine again, Thank you so much!! (If only all things were built as well as a Singer 66 Sowing machine, it still works perfectly after all these years)

I'm so thankful for this video, because it is the only sowing machine I've had available to me while making masks for my family. The sowing machine was passed to me from my grandmother and I really love it and am thankful that I can continue using it (with the help of this video).

I used to have one of these mounted on a box. My mother gave it to me, she used it when she was young and I used it for years sewing cloths for my kids. I would put it on a card table or TV tray to sew. My kids knocked it over one day and bent the main shaft which made it unrepairable. This past weekend I found one enclosed in a small fold out table like yours. It looks pristine! I’m so excited to have another one. Thanks for reminding me how to thread it. I’m in my 60s now and will cherish it and pass it on.

Very clear
Liked the various angle shots!
I started sewing with my first Singer 66 in 1974. Great for Frostline kits. Backpacks jackets and tents.
I just acquired my second Singer 66 last week I rescued it from a neighbor who set it out in the alley for trash

I have this Singer, with a portable case and knee treadle. It was my Grandma's and I believe she bought it in 1935 or 1936 to make baby clothes for my Mom when she was born. Haven't used it in years and had forgotten the exact threading. This video is fantastic! What a great help! Thank you!

I have this same machine a coworker gave me from her parents who had to have assisted living. She was in an attic for many years and was a mess. I cleaned her up, took her to a repair shop and works great now. This video helped a lot because I couldn't remember how to thread the bobbin.
I would so rather have a vintage machine over a new one any day. They don't make them like this anymore. Thanks for your help.
