really appreciate the fact that Jameela says Fat instead of Plus Sized when talking about fatphobia. The experiences of fat people are not limited to 'plus size clothing' and I really appreciate the recognition to that.

One thing I feel was missing from the "what is feminism" response is not just seeing men as potential allies, but as humans who are disadvantaged by our sexist system, too. Yes, they are powerful and necessary allies, but seeing them as only that risks dehumanising them, while many of the changes we need to make would have a positive impact on them, too (paternity leave, removing "the man box", recognition of their right and ability to be more than the negative stereotypes that follow them, for example). More than "us, them and allies", it's really just US, on various places on the spectrum and at various points in our journies.

I very much appreciate how her answers aren't cut, it's just her talking, naturally.

It's crazy how feminism has such negative connotations now

As a disabled young woman i definitely admired how you've taken time to include us in topics like fat phobia and stand up for inclusiveness in media 💕

In addition to the comments about work and discrimination, joining a union should be #1 priority in the workplace! There is power in numbers and unions can provide advice and take action on these issues ❣️ Solidarity in the workplace against exploitative employers is crucial!

Only thing I would add is that unfortunately some industries are less likely to have HR. For example, in the restaurant industry you are very unlikely to have HR unless you are working for a big chain or fast food corporation. Sad realities of small business that many forget about. I realize that Jameela did say most, not all. But still felt the need to point out that this is actually not always the case in small business which does actually make up a large portion of industry.

I was body shamed in the school playground while picking daughter up. Another female parent told I was sexy for a fat person, BTW I'm size 14.
