My marine buddy showed me that if you put both scope caps on the acog and shoot both eyes open, you can affectively use the sight as a makeshift red dot.

Trig-icon makes a long eye relief version, life changing

I ran them in the Marines. If they were too far to point fire, The acog would do its job. any time we were in CQB we would point fire. I rarely would look down sights inside a house for example.

Got issued a few of these. They're great. If you can't afford these, Primary Arms makes a great 3x and 5x.

This needs a whole video. Why would u run both? Benefits? Benefits over an lpvo or scope? Why this as opposed to a red dot/reflex/holo with magnifier? This topic needs a deep dive!

Can run it with both eyes open for close quarters. Takes a bit of getting used to, but with both eyes open your brain will "overlay" the reticle to your non-dominant eye. Basically using your brains weird functions to make regular tech, sci-fi tech

The strength is ranging and bullet drop compensation functions, meaning good center mass hits on the E at midrange, even from a rack grade M4 or M16A4. The short eye relief supports a parallax free condition without consequence.

After watching other gun tubers talk about acogs and the majority coming to the conclusion that the LED TA11 with the front mounted RMR gives the best compromise of a really solid general purpose rifle

My experience with the ACOG was through the Marine Corps with no combat experience, but I loved the optic. On tables 1 and 2 we had acogs at boot and also at MCT, it works fine inwards to about 50 to 25yrds, after that i'm just going to point shoot.

Train with your gear and it'll work for you. These things, I hear, are basically indestructible

I still think this is the best looking gun channel on YouTube and it’s not even close. Your videos somehow look better than actually looking through the scope in person 😂

Bindon Aiming Concept. Shoot both eyes open your brain can switch back and forth. You can definitely clear rooms and quickly switch back to engage targets medium and extended ranges at least to the effectiveness of the m855 or mk262 round.

You can use a piece of duct tape to control the fiber optic brightness

I'm a steiner battle sight fan. I have a 536 on my tavor 7 and it's a great sight! Yeah, it's a battery powered scope but it's super fast and it's precise as well

Piggyback is also better for swapping sides with the rifle from nonstandard positions

I still think this test should have been done with an LED TA02 and a top dot with adjustable brightness. Picked the worst ACOG for comparison

I have 4x scopes on my hog rifles, very handy and capable within 100 yards. Anything beyond that and I want more magnification.

That's not occluded shooting. That's binding aiming concept. Occluded shooting is when you cant see through your optic at all and one eye picks up the reticle while the other picks up the target.

Or train with both eyes open. The RMR is kind of unnecessary.

Not sure why people think you need an RMR on an ACOG... it's like they dont know how to use the optic properly with BOTH EYES OPEN 😅😅😅 I'm a marine vet I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.
